SUBSCRIPTION SERVICES SURGE: Wine’s increasing online popularity
Lots of speculation still ahead, with the way out of lockdown being set out on Monday - we already know schools are likely to be the first area to unlock, whilst hospitality the last. Independent businesses - some whom opened just before last year’s lockdown hit have been poring over the recent figures and are feeling optimistic.
There’s been a surge in popularity for pandemic tipples, with Sam and his team reporting a increase in demand for their online alcohol subscription service.
Meanwhile, according to market research company Kantar, alcohol sales were up 30% in January - that’s equivalent to £234m.
