FINISH STRONG: Premier League dip leaves Leeds United looking over their shoulder

Leeds United currently sit 11th in the Premier League on 35 points, which for a newly promoted team is a good haul.

The overall aim for the club in their first season back in the top tier was obviously to stay in the division.

It looks like they'll achieve that aim, but recent results have left them with some concern about the teams below them.

Only nine points separate them from the drop zone as it stands and they'd like to extend that gap to feel a bit less concerned.

With 11 games left to play, Leeds will be aiming for a top-half finish, but they'll be keeping an eye over their shoulder.

There are absolutely three worse teams than Marcelo Bielsa's in the league though and they will more than likely play Premier League football next season.

However, Leeds fans have been burned before and won't feel comfortable until they are mathematically safe.

Remaining fixtures

Leeds United do have a tough run of fixtures remaining, including games against Chelsea, Manchester City, Manchester United and Liverpool.

Elsewhere, they play Fulham, Sheffield United, Brighton and Burnley - four teams all below Leeds in more serious danger of being demoted to the Championship.

Winning the latter four fixtures will likely keep Leeds up, as well as a final day game against strugglers West Brom if needed.

Fans shouldn't be concerned - Bielsa's side will play Premier League football next season.

However, until it's guaranteed, they'll wonder if they'll miss their team's return to the top tier in its entirety unless plans to open up a limited number on the final day remain.
