CORONAVIRUS TESTING: New campaign urging adults to get tested
Every UK adult is expected to be asked to test themselves for coronavirus at least twice a week - ahead of the launch of a new campaign.
The ad will encourage the public to ‘play their part’ in fighting the last throes of the pandemic according to The Times.
Testing chiefs hope regular swabs will drive down the spread of Covid-19 and help identify people who do not display symptoms, according to The Times.
The new push for regular testing is believed to be rolled out alongside national sewage monitoring, which will identify areas across the country which have rising case rates and can then be targeted by surge testing.
