NEXT STEP: England’s lockdown to ease as planned on 12 April
The prime minister has confirmed the next step of easing England lockdown restrictions will go ahead as planned. Non-essential shops, gyms and hairdressers will reopen their doors on April 12, with pubs and restaurants being allowed to serve customers outdoors for the first time this year.
Overnight stays away from home in England will also be allowed, and we will also see the return of attractions like zoos and theme parks. What is the first thing you’ll be doing next Monday?
