TIME TO REACT: Cardiff must bounce back against Blackburn Rovers
Cardiff City must give a positive reaction to their 5-0 hammering against Sheffield Wednesday when they host Blackburn Rovers.
Mick McCarthy's side have lost three of their last five and seen their playoff hopes significantly reduced.
Sheffield Wednesday's five goals were as many as Cardiff had conceded in the 10 previous league games combined.
Cardiff need to show a positive reaction to that massive defeat when they face Blackburn.
The Bluebirds' form has dropped off after a brilliant unbeaten run which seen them avoid defeat for 11 games.
Cardiff v Blackburn: recent history and who to watch
It finished 0-0 when these two last faced off in October. A red card for Lee Tomlin left Cardiff happy with a point.
In fact, six of the last nine meetings have ended all square including that goalless draw earlier in the season.
Blackburn are winless in their last six games though, and Cardiff will hope to pile on the misery.
Only Norwich's Emi Buendia has more assists in the Championship than Blackburn's Harvey Elliott.
18-year-old Elliott, who is on loan from Liverpool, has 10 assists this season - just five off Buendia.
Cardiff will hope their on-loan Liverpool men, Harry Wilson and Sheyi Ojo, have more of an impact than Elliott.
The game kicks off at 3pm on Saturday.
