STARSTRUCK: Highlights from this years BAFTA ceremony
The BAFTA ceremony is still being talked about days later, as so many in the industry continue to react to the big winners from the big night. Highlights from the ceremony which took place on Sunday night include Chloe Zhao taking home the award for best director, making her only the second woman to pick up the award. Nomadland also won cinematography and leading actress for Frances McDormand.
The event took place virtually with numerous starts presenting awards. Renée Zellweger was among the presenters who appeared from a studio in Los Angeles alongside Anna Kendrick.
During the two-night event, the BAFTAs honored the late royal a day after his death with tributes during the broadcast. Co-host Edith Bowman and Dermot O' Leary said the late prince "occupies a very special place in BAFTA's history", after he served as the first president from 1959 to 1965.
Promising Young Woman beat a shortlist of 10 films to the prize, including Rocks. In the end, the film went home with best casting and the rising star award for actor Bukky Bakray who became the youngest BAFTA Rising Star Award recipient.
Daniel Kaluuya accepted the BAFTA for Supporting Actor for his powerful performance in Judas and the Black Messiah. His win comes just two weeks ahead of the Academy Awards - where he is also hotly tipped to win the award.
