NEWS ROUNDUP: Tributes paid to South Wales Police officer
Welsh football fans have been warned against travelling to Wales' delayed Euro 2020 group games in Azerbaijan and Italy due to Covid restrictions. Thousands of fans had hoped to watch their team in the Euros next month as Wales play Switzerland and Turkey in Baku before facing Italy in Rome. But the FA of Wales said the UK Foreign Office had "issued advice" warning Wales fans "not to travel". This comes as First Minister Mark Drakeford echoed similar words.
Tributes have been paid to a South Wales Police officer who has died at the age of 41. Police Constable Stuart Styles who was based in Roath, Cardiff died on Sunday, May 16. The officer joined the force in 2008 and has been described as a "well-respected" member of the force. From all of us at Local TV, our thoughts are with Mr Styles’ family and friends.
And The World Naked Bike Ride is returning to Cardiff for 2021. The popular cycling event was due to return for the 13th time last year, but was cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic. Organisers have confirmed the popular cycling event is coming back, with the starting point taking place on the lawns outside Cardiff University. Cyclists will take to the roads without their clothes in a bid to help raise awareness about road safety.
