HOLIDAY POLICE: Police to carry out 10,000 home visits to enforce quarantine rules as 300,000 Brits head to amber list countries
Families returning from overseas holidays should expect a “knock at the door” from police checking they are sticking to the 10-day quarantine rules.
Home Secretary Priti Patel confirmed enforcement has been stepped up, with 10,000 home visits each day.
It comes as almost 300,000 Brits are set to fly to amber list countries by the weekend after two days of chaos and confusion over travel advice.
Around five million Brits have booked holidays in amber list countries this summer, with many considering cancelling or accepting quarantine measures if the countries don’t move to the green list. Will the holiday police deter you from booking a holiday?
