NEWS ROUNDUP: Concern over cluster of covid cases in North Wales
The cluster of the Indian variant in Wales is very serious and could affect the easing of restrictions according to the health minister. There are now 35 cases of the variant in Llandudno, Llandudno Junction and Penrhyn Bay. Eluned Morgan added that she was concerned that the cluster was heading towards community transmission.
Passengers flying from Cardiff airport are facing a very different procedure than what they would normally see. The airport is advising passengers to arrive three hours before their flight and are also warned to have the right paperwork to leave the UK as well as possibly a private PCRcovid test.
Transport for Wales has said goodbye to the last Pacer trains after more than 30 years of service, marking the end of an era for Britain’s railways.
The network is also pressing ahead with building brand new trains for the Wales and Borders network and the South Wales Metro, which will begin to enter service in 2022.
