NEWS ROUNDUP: Castle street to reopen to private cars
Doubts have been raised about the evidence used to justify reopening Castle Street in Cardiff to private cars. Cardiff council is claiming that the reopening would reduce demand for private car use, and that the closure has displaced traffic and air pollution to residential areas.
The Welsh Government has been urged to bring an end to the disruption caused to a Wrexham community after a landslide closed a key route. A section of the B5605 between Newbridge and Cefn Mawr was severely damaged during Storm Christoph in January.
Plans have been approved for a watersports centre and a huge cafe at Llanishen and Lisvane reservoirs in north Cardiff. Dwr Cymru Welsh Water can now build the new visitor centre, alongside widened access roads, new pedestrian paths, and the cafe and watersports centre.
