Visitors Banned From Hospitals in West Wales

Hywel Dda University Health Board said visitors would be allowed with prior arrangement in some instances, such as end of life and critical visits. Ceredigion, Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire, the counties in the health board area, each have Covid case rates above 600 per 100,000 people.

Medicine Shortage in Wales

New research reveals medicine shortages in Wales are the worst in the UK, while food shortages are found to be 46% higher than the national average.

One in five residents of Wales were unable were unable to purchase essential foods in the past two weeks - an increase of nearly 30% from the previous fortnight.

The research also found that one in ten Welsh households could not access non-essential foods, and a third of residents reported that there was less variety of goods in the shops than usual.

What the Budget means for Wales

The chancellor's Budget has promised a cash boost for Welsh public services and more money for low-paid workers on universal credit. 

Rishi Sunak promised to increase Welsh government budgets by an average of £2.5bn a year. The Labour-led Welsh government accused the Treasury of leaving "clear gaps in funding".
